Ingredients

  2. 1/2 cupCoconut
  3. Mint leaves 1/4 cup
  4. Green chillies 4-5 nos
  5. Curry leaves a few
  6. Ginger one small piece
  7. 2 tspOil
  8. 1/4 tspMustard seeds
  9. Tamarind a small piece

Steps

  1. 1

    In a fry pan add little oil, heat it and add ginger,green chillies,Pudina,curry leaves a few and sauté for few minutes.

  2. 2

    Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    In a mixer jar, add coconut and the sautéed Pudina mixture, tamarind and salt.
    Grind it to a fine paste.

  4. 4

    Remove it in a serving bowl.
    In a small fry pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, let it splutter and add few curry leaves

  5. 5

    Switch off the flame and pour the tadka on the chutney.
    Serve with idli/ dosa.
