Ingredients

2 lbhamburg
1 largeonion
1 largegreen pepper
1 clovegarlic
1/4 cupchili powder
1/4 tspground red pepper
1 can6 oz. tomato paste
1 can28 oz. tomatoes
2 1/2 tspsalt
1bay leaf
2 canred kidney beans 15 1/4 each

Steps

5 Qt saucepan on high heat cook Hamburg, onions, pepper & garlic. Stir until all pan juice evaporates & beef is well browned.

Stir in chili powder & red pepper. Cook 1 minute.

Stir in tomato & liquid, paste, salt, bay leaf over high heat. Heat to boiling.

Cover, simmer 30 minutes.

Drain kidney beans and add. Simmer uncovered 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Serve.
