Steps

Wash masoor dal and drain it.

Heat oil in a pan add washed and drained dal,fry for about 1-2 minutes or untill it changes it's colour.Transfer to a plate.

In a same pan add dry red chillies,coriander seeds,cumin seeds and roast well. Transfer it to another plate.

Add roasted coriander seeds,cumin seeds,garlic,tarmarind,salt and dal into a blender.Grind it into a coarse paste by adding water.keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds once it splutters,add curry leaves,dry chilli and stir fry for a minute.

Add the tempering to the dal mixture and mix well.

Serve masoor ki chutney with dosa and vada
