Ingredients

  1. 2.2 lbschicken breast, cut into thin strips (about 1 kg)
  2. 1onion, thinly sliced
  3. Shawarma marinade
  4. 1 cupplain yogurt (about 240 ml)
  5. Juice of 1 lemon
  6. 3 tablespoonswhite vinegar (about 45 ml)
  7. 4 tablespoonsolive oil (about 60 ml)
  8. 1 tablespoonshawarma spice blend
  9. 1 teaspoonground coriander
  10. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  11. 1 teaspoonsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the marinade ingredients together, then add the chicken and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.

    Place the marinated chicken in a deep skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until the chicken is dry and browned.

    Transfer to a serving plate and serve with bread and shawarma sauce.
