Steps

Preheat oven to 180°F celcius. Place paper cake cases into muffin tin.

Cream butter and sugar together until pale and well combined.

Add one egg at a time to the butter and sugar beating well between each.

Mix the vanilla essence into the mixture.

Sift flour, baking powder and custard powder into a bowl. Add into mixture in 3 stages folding gently.

Using ice cream scoop preferably/spoon divide mixture evenly among prepared paper cases and create a small well at the top onto which place a teaspoon of jam on top of each.

Place into oven for about 12-14 minutes or until golden, springy and a scewer inserted to middle comes out clean.
