Ingredients

4 servings
  • 4pork loin steaks
  • 1red onion thickly sliced
  • 100 grams(4oz) mushrooms sliced
  • 1eating apple cored and cut into wedges
  • 2 tbspplain flour (all purpose flour)
  • 1 tbspoil...(i used extra virgin oil )
  • 200 ml(7fl oz) crème fraiche
  • 150 ml(1/4) apple cider or juice...(i used juice )
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 tspeach of Garlic Granules, Sage, Thyme, Oregano, Paprika and 1/2 tsp of Rosemary
  • 1sea salt and black pepper to season

  1. 1

    combine the flour with the 1/2 tsp each of Paprika, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add the pork and coat in the seasoned flour.

  2. 2

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan, add the pork and brown well for 2-3 mins on each side. Remove from the pan and set aside

  3. 3

    Add the red oinion, mushrooms and apples to the pan fry for 3-4 mins until browned. Add the cider or juice, garlic granules, sage,rosemary, thyme, Oregano and crème fraiche and stir gently

  4. 4

    Return the pork to the pan, bring to a simmer and cook for around 10 mins until the pork is cooked through. we had it with baby boiled potatoes and broccoli
