Ingredients

  1. 1/2 lbstale bread
  2. 3 ozcurrents or sultanas
  3. 1 tablespoonmilk
  4. 3 ozmargerine
  5. 2 ozsugar
  6. 1/2 teaspoonmixed spice
  7. 1egg

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the bread in cold water for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Squeeze out all the water

  3. 3

    Add all the dry ingredients and then the melted fat, egg and milk.

  4. 4

    Mix well.

  5. 5

    Put into a greased pie-dish and bake for about 40 minutes at 200 C.
