Ingredients

  1. 350 gramsPlain Flour
  2. 1 tspBicarbonate Of Soda
  3. 2 tspGround Ginger
  4. 1 tspGround Cinnamon
  5. 125 gramsButter
  6. 175 gramsBrown Sugar
  7. 1 mediumEgg
  8. 4 tbspGolden Syrup

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

    Heat oven to 180C

  2. 2

    Mix flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon together

  3. 3

    Rub in the butter until like breadcrumbs

  4. 4

    Mix in the sugar

  5. 5

    Add the beaten egg and syrup and form into a dough

  6. 6

    Roll out and shape

  7. 7

    Cook for 12-15 minutes

  8. 8

    Leave to cool then decorate
