Ingredients

  1. 150 gramsshort pastry
  2. 50 gramsmargerine
  3. 50 gramssugar
  4. 100 gramsground almonds
  5. 1egg
  6. 25 gramsblanched almonds, chopped
  7. 1strawberry jam

Cooking Instructions

    Line an 18cm square tin with the padtry abd spread the bottom with the jam.

    Cream margerine and sugar.

  3. 3

    Add ground almonds and egg and mix well.

  4. 4

    Spread mixture over jam and sprinkle with chopped almonds.

  5. 5

    Bake in a moderate oven 190ºC for 20-25 minutes.

    Allow to cool, then cut into fingers.
