Cream cheese marbled brownies

Ingredients

  1. cream cheese mix
  2. 1 cup(250g) cream cheese
  3. 1/4 cup(50g) sugar
  4. 2 tsporange juice freshly squeezed
  5. 1 tspcornstarch/ cornflour
  6. 1 largeegg
  7. chocolate mix
  8. 250 grams(8 oz) dark chocolate pices
  9. 1/4 cup(60g) butter
  10. 3/4 cup(150g) sugar
  11. 2 tspvanilla extract
  12. 2 largeeggs (slightly beaten)
  13. 1/2 cup(75g) wheat flour

    Preheat oven 180 C (350 F/ 4 gasmarks)

    Grease with butter a square pan (9in/ 23cm) and sprinkle flour on it

    For the cram cheese: in a big bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer on high speed untio creamy

  4. 4

    Add the juice and the cornstarch

  5. 5

    Add the egg beating until blended

  6. 6

    For the chocolate: melt the chocolate in a double boiler (bain marie) over boiling water, slowly. Remove to let cool.

    Mix the sugar and vanilla with the chocolate.

    Add eggs, and then the flour.

    Pour the chocolate mix in the pan

  10. 10

    Add spoons full of the cream cheese mix over the chocolate, sligtly moving arround (not mixing) to create a marbling effect.

    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or untill the middle is hard and the sides are slightly fluffed.

    Let cool in the pan before cutting the bars.
