Ingredients

  1. 100 gramsbutter
  2. 220 gramscaster sugar
  3. 1rind and jucie of 4 lemons
  4. 4eggs separated
  5. 100 gramsself rasing flour
  6. 300 mlmilk
  7. 850 mldeep baking dish

Cooking Instructions

    Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4,350 F (180 C)

    first beat the butter, sugar and lemon rind together until well softened.

  3. 3

    Then beat in the egg yolks, a little at a time.

  4. 4

    next fold in the flour, alternately with the milk and lemon jucie.

  5. 5

    Finally whisk the egg whites and fold them in as well.

  6. 6

    Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake in the center of the oven for 45-60 minutes.
