Cooking Instructions
- 1
Fry the hamburger in a skillet or frying pan until brown. while frying it add in some Italian seasoning, garlic powder and pepper
- 2
Drain your hamburger. you don't want the grease
- 3
Slice up your onion. fry it in a small amount of oil about 2 to 3 tablespoons. add about 1 to 3 teaspoons of Italian seasoning.
- 4
Open the cans of tomatoes. drain the juice. put them into a pot on the stove. turn heat up to about medium. add in all the seasonings : pepper, salt, red pepper, garlic and Italian seasoning. stir and cover with a lid. you want the tomatoes to cook down.keep an eye on this and stir it every so often
- 5
Add in hamburger to the tomatoes
- 6
Add onion into the pot with the hamburger and tomatoes
- 7
If it needs to thicken add in tomato paste
- 8
Stir and let this bubble a bit keeping a close eye so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot. after 30 minutes turn the heat down to low and let this simmer. I let mine cook for 3 hours. you can go longer or less time
- 9
Cook your pasta when your ready to start eating. serve the sauce over the pasta and enjoy

Spaghetti Sauce Spaghetti Sauce
Cook time about two and a half hours. You can speed up cook time by cooking the mushrooms and onions in a pan prior to putting them in the sauce. This sauce is not a sweet sauce. I make alot so i can freeze the rest being a basball mom i need stuff to just thaw and heat up. Even better the second day. autumng -

Fuhgitaboudit Spaghetti Sauce Fuhgitaboudit Spaghetti Sauce
I wanted to make a good, homemade spaghetti sauce, but it's the middle of summer and I definitely didn't want to warm up my house any more than I had to. What ensued was my endeavors to make a good, hearty spaghetti sauce in my slow cooker. The result is this easy and delicious sauce you can cook all day without heating up your kitchen. You will use your stove minimally to prep your tomato paste infused veggies, but after that just throw it all in the crock pot and "fuhgitaboudit". StephieCanCook -
Grandma's spaghetti sauce Grandma's spaghetti sauce
My grandma use to make this sauce all the time and freeze the left over for quick easy meals during the week. Sometimes I get crazy and add black olives, green pepper, red pepper and sun dried tomatoes for a chunky sauce. britterz90
