Heat oven to 350

In a large mixing bowl, mix sugar and butter. Add eggs,bananas,buttermilk,and vanilla-beat with an electric mixer until smooth.

Stir in flour,baking soda,salt and nuts just until moistened.

Add batter to lined muffins pans and bake at least 25 minutes.
