Stewed Chickpeas with Hard-Boiled Egg
A recipe from my grandmother—I love it. Simple and delicious.

In a pot, fry the slice of bread and set aside. Sauté the onion and garlic.

Chop the fried bread and parsley, then add them to the pot along with a bit of tomato sauce.

Add the chickpeas and chicken broth. Mix everything together and season with salt. Add 1 cup of water, the bay leaves, and sweet paprika to taste.

Simmer over low heat for about 25 minutes. Grate 1 hard-boiled egg into the stew.

When serving, garnish the chickpeas with the other hard-boiled egg, as shown in the photo.
