Ingredients

3 hours
15 servings
  • 1 largebeef roast(any cut will do in the end)
  • 1 1/2 largeonions
  • 1 boxbroth(any that sound good)
  • 1 tspcaraway seeds
  • 5 mediumgolden potatos
  • 3 mediumcarrots
  • 1 bunchwhat ever vegi's you need to fill the pot
  • 1salt and pepper to taste(of course)
  • 2 canbeets(i use shoestring)
  • 1 smallsour cream(for garnish)

Steps

3 hours
  1. 1

    you need a really big pot(like a large Dutch oven). Brown the roast then cube it( About thumb size should do it), set aside.

  2. 2

    dice onion and saute in pot, when that's done add cubed roast and broth, then simmer for 1 hour.

  3. 3

    while that cooks cube hard Vegi's

  4. 4

    after 1 hour add in the hard vegi's and cook another hour

  5. 5

    check vegi's for softness and add water as needed if the broth gets low
