Ingredients

  • 6potatoes, diced
  • 1 cuponion, chopped
  • 2carrots sliced
  • 2sliced celery ribs
  • 4 cupchicken broth
  • 1/2 tspdried basil
  • 1 tspdried parsley
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tsppepper
  • 1/4 cupall purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cupcream or half & half
  • 1bacon bits

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, chicken broth, basil, parsley, salt and pepper in a slow cooker.

  2. 2

    Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 8 hours.

  3. 3

    Stir together flour and cream; stir into soup. Cover and cook 30 mins longer. Sprinkle bacon bits over each serving.
