Shred the kunafa dough, cover it, and rub it with the butter and enough oil to moisten.

Spread half of the kunafa mixture evenly in a baking pan.

Spread the table cream over the kunafa layer.

Flatten the Kiri cheese (or cream cheese) with your hands and arrange it to cover the entire pan.

Generously sprinkle chopped pistachios over the cheese layer.

Add the remaining kunafa mixture on top, press down, and bake in the oven or over charcoal.

Brown both sides. When serving, garnish with more pistachios and drizzle with saffron syrup to taste.
