Ingredients

5 servings
  • 500 gramsminced beef (20% fat)
  • 250 gramsminced lamb
  • 2 largeyellow or red onion
  • 1/2 bunchparsley
  • 2 tsp7 spices
  • 1 tspsalt (to 2)
  • 1 dashCayenne pepper

  1. 1

    Finely chop or mince the onions in a food processor and strain the liquid/juice that comes out of them. This is important to get rid of, otherwise the meat paste will be loose and won?t hold together easily.

  2. 2

    Finely chop the parsley leaves (discarding the stems)

  3. 3

    Mix all ingredients well together and make into patties or put on Kabab skewers

  4. 4

    Grill on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes max

  5. 5

    Serve Kafta while hot along with some Lebanese pita bread

  6. 6

    * Lebanese 7-Spices contain equal proportions of the following ground spices: Allspice, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Ground Cloves, Ground Nutmeg, Fenugreek, Powdered Ginger
