Ingredients

  • 500 gmBoneless chicken
  • 3-4 tbspMustard paste
  • 2 tbspPoppy seed paste
  • 2 tbspGrated coconut paste
  • 5-6green chillies
  • 2 tspturmeric powder
  • 5-6 tbspmustard oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2Banana leaf, cut into medium sized pieces
  • As needed chopped coriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    Lightly roast the banana leaf on hot tawa.

  2. 2

    Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, turmeric powder, 2-3 tbsp mustard oil, mustard paste, poppy seed paste, grated coconut paste. Leave for 1 hr.

  3. 3

    Take some marinated chicken on the middle of each banana leaf piece. Put 2 tbsp mustard oil, 2-3 slitted green chillies and some chopped coriander leaves.

  4. 4

    Wrapped the chicken by folding the banana leaf from all side and tired it with thread to secure it.

  5. 5

    Heat a tawa. Drizzle some oil on it. Put the banana leaf wrapped chicken and fry both sides till brownish black with lid.

  6. 6

    Serve chicken paturi with hot steam rice.
