Mix 1 Cup of water and sugar in small saucepan.

Add food coloring and bring to a boil.

Mix remaining water with cornstarch and add to sugar mixture.

Cook until thickened.

Remove from stove and add jello powder.

Place strawberries in cooled pie shell.

Pour syrup over top.

Refrigerate until set and serve with whipped cream.
