Steps
- 1
set a pot of water to boil
- 2
wash potatoes
- 3
after potatoes have been washed, cut potatoes into thick medallions
- 4
after water has come to a boil and the potatoes have been cut, add them to the water along with a tablespoon of salt
- 5
mix the potatoes around in the water with a wooden spoon
- 6
as the potatoes boil, get bacon and cut into tiny cubes
- 7
after cutting the bacon, add it to a small skillet and cook until its nice and crispy
- 8
after the bacon is cooked, remove from skillet with a slotted plastic spoon. put bacon in bowl lined with paper towels
- 9
meanwhile, have one of your friends preheat the oven to 425°
- 10
as oven begins to preheat, take the ham and the cupcake tray and begin lining the cupcake holes with the ham. the ham would act as the cupcake "liner"
- 11
check potatoes to see if they are done cooking. they shouldn't be extremely soft, but soft enough to pack down
- 12
drain water from potatoes. take potatoes into a medium sized bowl and mash them up just a bit. don't make them into mashed potatoes!
- 13
after everything is done cooking, take desired amount of potatoes and put them into the ham cupcake liners
- 14
sprinkle desired amount of cheese on top of mashed potatoes
- 15
this is where it gets a bit tricky. after having all of your ham cups filled, take eggs and crack them on top of the cheese and potatoes. the yolk should still be in contact. if this becomes too difficult, crack eggs into a small bowl. this is individual. do not mix eggs together!
- 16
if you are taking the bowl trick, continue reading! if not, skip step #17
- 17
after having cracked an egg into the bowl, take the bowl and slowly begin to pour egg on top of the potatoes and cheese. the yolk should end on top
- 18
once all eggs are on top of potatoes and cheese, get desired amount of bacon and sprinkle over the egg
- 19
pop the tray into the oven and let it cook for about 25 minutes or until the egg whites are a solid white
- 20
share with friends and family!
