  1. 1/2 cupSoaked Almonds / Badam
  2. 2 cupMilk
  3. 1/2 cupSugar
  4. 2 tspClarified Butter / Desi ghee
  5. Saffron (Kesar) for garnishing

    Take ½ cup of Almonds (Badam) in a bowl and soak it overnight or soak in hot water for 2 hours.

  2. 2

    Drain the Water from Almonds completely with the help of sieve.

  3. 3

    Take the drained Almonds into the grinder and grind into coarse paste. (Add 3 tsp of Water if required for grinding)

  4. 4

    In a preheated pan, add 2 tsp of Ghee and allow it to heat.

  5. 5

    Then add Almonds coarse paste and roast until colour changes (Approx. 10 Min it takes)

  6. 6

    Roast on low flame until paste turns into the powdered form.

  7. 7

    Then add 2 cups of Milk and keep on stirring continuously.

  8. 8

    Cover the lid and allow it to cook on low flame and keep on stirring in between occasionally.

  9. 9

    When Milk is reduced down, add ½ cup of Sugar and stir for another 5 – 6 Min.

  10. 10

    Badam Halwa is ready to serve hot and garnish with Saffron (Kesar).
