Ingredients

30 mins
4 servings
  1. Rice
  2. 1cup of rice
  3. 2cups of water
  4. 1teaspoon of salt
  5. 1tablespoon of butter
  6. 1/4teaspoon of turmeric
  7. 3chopped parsley
  8. salt and pepper
  9. Garlic Butter Shrimp
  10. 400 gramsshrimp (deshelled and deveined)
  11. 2 tbspbutter
  12. 5 clovegarlic, finely chopped
  13. 4chopped parsley
  14. 2 tbsplemon juice
  15. Mayo
  16. 1 tbspmayonnaise

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

    Bring water and salt to boil and cook the rice as per package instructions.

  2. 2

    When rice is done cooking (make sure it is not overcooked as this can make it mushy) add the butter, Turmeric and salt and pepper. Set the rice aside and keep warm.

    For the shrimp, start by heating the butter and garlic, add the shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes until pink. Add the parsley and cook for another 30 seconds then dash over the lemon juice.

    Once everything is done, plate it up and dollop the mayo on your plate (as much as you like).
