Simple yet aromat pulao is too delicious. It's very different from the regular pulao. Learned it from my Maa. Moms pulao is yet more delicious than mine .

Steps

Wash rice and soak them for at least half an hour. Peel and chop onions into thin slices.. Finely chop Green garlic with the greens. Grind the garlic cloves into a paste.

Take a heavy bottom pan add oil in it and add cumin seeds Cinnamon stick, cardamom and bay leaves. Let them crackle.

Add onions, green peas and saute it till peas are 3/4 done.Add garlic paste and saute it for few mins. Add salt and pepper powder. And saute a little more.

Drain water from the soaked rice and add it to the pan give a good stir to rice.

Add 4 cups of water to the pan and add green garlic into the pan. Give a stir and cover the lid. When water starts boiling give a stir and again cover the lid and lower the flame to minimum.

Keep it for least 15 mins or till all the water is well absorbed and rice is done. Give a gentle up and down stir to the cooked pulao.

Serve hot with curd or buttermilk.
