Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 kgChicken cut into medium pieces
  2. 4boiled eggs
  3. 2big onions thinly sliced
  4. 2 tbspginger garlic paste
  5. 1tomato chopped
  6. 2 tspturmeric powder
  7. 2green chillies
  8. 4green cardemoms
  9. 4cloves
  10. 1small cinnamon stick
  11. 1bay leaf
  12. 5whole black pepper
  13. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  14. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  15. 1tsp coriander powder
  16. 4 tsphung curd
  17. Salt and sugar as required
  18. Mustard oil as required
  19. 1/2 cupwarm water
  20. Coriander leaves for garnishing

    Make a paste of green cardamom,cloves,cinnemon stick,bay leaf and black peppercorns with 4 tsp of water.Your whole spice paste is ready.

    Marinate the chicken pieces with hung curd, ginger and garlic paste, turmeric powder,spice powder and the whole spice paste.

  3. 3

    Keep the marinated chicken in fridge for 1/2 an hour. Don't forget to take out and bring it to room temperature before start cooking.

    Rub the eggs with some salt and turmeric powder.Then shallow fry the eggs for 2 minutes in some oil. Keep aside.

  5. 5

    Take a pan and heat the mustard oil.

  6. 6

    Add chopped onion in hot oil. Fry this for 10 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add the marinated chicken and cook for 20 minutes on medium flame.

  8. 8

    After that add the boiled eggs, green chillies and some warm water.Cook this for another 5 minutes.

  9. 9

    Check the seasoning.Chicken should be tender and gravy should be thick.

  10. 10

    Serve this hot with plain rice or roti.
