Rinse the lentils and set aside.

Chop the onion, carrot, and potato.

Sauté the onion in oil, then add the bouillon cube, carrot, and potato. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring.

Add the lentils and stir, then add water. Cook over heat until the lentils are tender.

Stir in the heavy cream.

Serve with toasted bread cubes and lemon.
