The galette des rois is getting popular in Japan, too, but the brioche is not. I heard that the brioche is popular in South France and Spain and I love it more!

Mix the flour, butter (half-melted), sugar, salt, egg, yeast and water and knead well. Let it rise for 1-2 hours.

Place the dough on a board and knead lightly to let the extra gas out. Make two rings. Let them rise again for about 1 hour.

Bake in the oven preheated at 190 C for about 20-25 minutes. Turn the side in the middle of baking.

Baked!

Decorate the brioches. Spread the jam on the surface and put the pop sugar and drained cherries.
