Wash and soak rice for at least 30 minutes
Slice the onions & the brown onion.
Marinate the mutton with curd, ginger garlic paste, onions, red chillies, turmeric and salt to taste.
Heat ghee and add the marinated mutton. Cook till done.
In a separate handi, heat ghee and add whole garam masala. Then add washed and drained rice and fry it a little.
Add warm water and cook the mutton till almost done.
Take a heavy bottom handi and line it with ghee. - 2
Add prepared mutton and sprinkle garam masala.
Cover it with rice and dot with ghee.
Make deep holes in the rice and then add saffron milk, fried nuts and crisp fried onions. Cover it tightly and put it for dum on 20 - 25 minutes.
