Homemade Potstickers
These potstickers are made with homemade dough, perfect for a fun weekend activity with the kids!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Combine flour, salt, and water in a bread machine and select the 'dough mode' to knead until done.
Alternatively, let the kids knead the dough by hand until it's smooth and non-sticky.
- 2
The freshly kneaded dough will be firm. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes until it softens and can be rolled out.
- 3
Divide the dough into several pieces and roll each into a long strip. This part is also great for kids to help with.
- 4
Cut the strips into small pieces.
- 5
Press each piece down with your hand to form a small round disc. Hold the dough with your left hand and use a rolling pin with your right hand to roll from the edges, leaving the center slightly thicker and the edges thinner.
- 6
Remember to dust the rolled-out dough with flour to prevent sticking.
- 7
Mix all the filling ingredients together by hand until well combined.
- 8
Stir the ground meat until it becomes sticky, then it's ready.
- 9
Chop the cabbage into small pieces, place in a plastic bag, add a teaspoon of salt to draw out the water, let it sit for 3 minutes, then squeeze out the excess water and set aside.
- 10
Mix the drained cabbage with the pork filling. If not using immediately, store in the refrigerator.
- 11
It's time for the kids to help! Start wrapping the potstickers.
- 12
Place the filling in the center of the dough, fold in half, seal the top, then stretch and press the sides to seal tightly.
- 13
Preheat a pan, add a little oil, and arrange the potstickers closely together in the pan.
- 14
Pour in the flour water mixture (10g flour + 100g water), cover with a lid, and cook using a half-steam, half-fry method.
- 15
Cook until the flour water evaporates and the edges and bottom turn golden brown, then remove from the pan.
- 16
The golden, crispy crust with its irregular patterns is so tempting! Each bite is filled with happiness and deliciousness!

Super Quick and Easy! Mille-Feuille Style Eggplant Pot Stickers Super Quick and Easy! Mille-Feuille Style Eggplant Pot Stickers
I wanted to prepare a lot of eggplant without using any oil in some healthy way, and wanted to prepare it quickly and simply!!There's absolutely nothing to it. Make your own version of the meat filling! The eggplants will absorb the oils, but that's no trouble if prepared this way! There's no need to use a stove top!! Recipe by yukiayane cookpad.japan -

Revolutionary! Amazing Chinese Cabbage-Based Gyoza Pot Stickers Revolutionary! Amazing Chinese Cabbage-Based Gyoza Pot Stickers
We had a dim sum party the other day and I made my cabbage-based gyoza pot stickers that we make once a week as a detoxifying dish. The pot stickers came out crispy with a glutenous filling, and the Chinese cabbage gave it a delicious glistening and sweet punch.A while back, when Chen Kenmin ("father of Chinese Sichuan cooking" in Japan) made dim sum on his show, he explained that it was important to give the filling a glutenous texture when mixing the minced meat with seasoning. He also said that using Chinese cabbage as a flavoring ingredient will help the filling blend well and bring out the flavors. The gyoza pot stickers will turn out crispy if you add water when you start frying. For 3 packs worth gyoza pot sticker wrappers: 4 servings. Recipe by Okaraseijin cookpad.japan -
Crisp! Light! Juicy! Supreme Gyoza Pot Stickers Crisp! Light! Juicy! Supreme Gyoza Pot Stickers
Since Chinese cabbage tends make the stickers too moist, I used regular cabbage and onion instead.Precooking the onions brings out the sweetness and puts it on par with Chinese cabbage.A scant amount of meat helps keep the insides from shrinking.Slicing the cabbage and onions as thinly as possible gives it a nice light texture.Do not squeeze the moisture out from the vegetables. It's tastier when seasoned well with black pepper. For about 50. Recipe by Cherry shokudou cookpad.japan -
Mike's Potsticker Dipping Sauce Mike's Potsticker Dipping Sauce
Since my 6 & 7 year old culinary students already know how to make pork potstickers, we bought pre-made ones from COSTCO for a quick lunch. Anyway, the packages said they came with a soy dipping sauce. No. No they did not. So, I charged them with making their own. I tell ya. Their dipping sauce ended up super delicious and five minutes fast! It also goes great with sushi and egg rolls! MMOBRIEN
