Syrian Toumeya (Garlic Sauce)

Dissolve the cornstarch in the water, then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens (like a pudding).

Add the remaining ingredients and the cooled cornstarch mixture to a blender, and blend until smooth.

If the mixture is too thick, add a little cold water to reach your desired consistency.
