Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 can (11 oz)cheddar cheese soup
  • 3/4 cupmilk
  • 1/2 cupcorn meal
  • 3eggs, separated
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/4 tspbaking powder
  • 1/4 cupbutter

  1. 1

    In medium saucepan, whisk soup until smooth. Gradually blend in milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat & gradually add corn meal. Stir until just thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in butter.

    Beat egg yolks until thick. Stir in a few tbsp of soup mixture. Then blend yolks into remaining soup.

  3. 3

    Using mixer, beat egg whites, salt, & baking powder until stiff but glossy.

  4. 4

    Fold whites into soup mixture.

  5. 5

    Pour into 1 1/2 qt souffle dish.

  6. 6

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  7. 7

    Serve immediately.

What do you eat this with? I love cheese and bread but not sure what the inside looks like. I have not tried this yet but I will be.
