Steps

Slice lotus stems and dip in boiling hot water till 5 mins.

Take a pan add sugar and water and make a thick sugar syrup.

Now rinse slices of lotus stem and powder corn flour on slices, so that each slice get coated with corn flour.

Heat oil in a pan fry these slices till they get light brown colour.

Dip these fried slices in sugar syrup and heat sugar syrup till slices get coated with sugar.

Let them cool to room temperature.

Yummy shakkar lotus crunches are ready to eat.
