Steps

In a bowl for marination add chicken, hung curd,salt, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon kashmiri lal mirch/chilli powder and mix properly. Keep in freeze for overnight marination.

Heat a pan with 2 teaspoon mustard oil. Add 1/2 teaspoon whole cumin and allow to crackle. Add chopped onion and fry till it become soft and gilden brown. Add chopped tomato,turmeric and chilli powder,ginger and garlic paste saute till the oil seperates from masala. Add 2 table spoon hot water and fry masala.

Add chicken and fry for 5-10 min on medium flame. Add hot water if required and fry.

After 10 min cover the pan on low the flame for another 10 -15 min

Open the cover and check the chicken is soft or not. If chicken is soft add 1 cup hot water and add garam masala.

Chicken curry is ready to be served
