In a pan add water and sugar and boil to make a syrup. It will take about 3 minutes

Heat a kadai on gas. Add ghee and besan. Roast until golden brown stirring continously for about 5 to 6 minutes

Mix fennel and carom seeds if you like to add add at this time and roast for a minute

Pour sugar syrup and stir continuously avoiding lumps to form

Cook until it turns thick and required consistency is achieved. Switch off flame.

Pour in serving bowl and garnish with chopped dry fruits of your choice. Serve hot.
