Ingredients

4 servings
  • 4 CupSweet pumpkin cubes 4 cup
  • 1/2 lemon sizedTamarind
  • 1 lemon sizedJaggery 1 lemon sized
  • 1 1/2 tspRock Salt
  • 1 pinchTurmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 cupGrated coconut
  • 2 tspHomemade sambar powder
  • 1 ltrWater
  • For seasoning.
  • 2 tspCoconut oil
  • 1 tspMustard seeds
  • 1Red chilli
  • 1 sprigCurry leaves

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Cook pumpkin cubes adding sufficient water, salt, jaggery, turmeric powder.

    Meanwhile grind coconut smoothly by adding some water, sambar powder and tamarind.

  3. 3

    Now transfer coconut masala into into cooked pumpkin.

    Mix well, adjust water.

    Bring it to boil finely in low flame for 5 minutes.

    Heat a seasoning pan, add seasoning ingredients, let it fry, add curry leaves.

    Transfer into boiling sambar, take off flame, cover a plate.

    Serve in hot with hot steamed rice.
