I had some left over vegetable stock from a Sunday dinner and I had oats in a jar. I didn't want to make porridge for supper again, so I put together some simple ingredients and got this soup with a few slices of bread. Wholesome and delicious.

Ingredients

1 serving
  • 250 mlvegetable stock
  • 2 TSPground oats
  • 2 TSPmilk powder
  • 2 inchcarrot diced
  • 1 TSPsugar
  • 1/2 TSPblack pepper
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the frozen stock till it simmers

  2. 2

    Add the carrots till it comes to boil on medium heat

  3. 3

    Lower heat, add oatmeal and stir

  4. 4

    Bring to boil

  5. 5

    Lower heat and add milk powder, stir well

  6. 6

    Season with salt and pepper

  7. 7

    Serve with bread
