This is made by sautéing pressed rice or poha with onions, boiled potatoes and spices. Garnish with lemon juice and roasted peanuts.

The Kaanda poha is a famous and delicious street food in MP and Maharashtra.
This is made by sautéing pressed rice or poha with onions, boiled potatoes and spices. Garnish with lemon juice and roasted peanuts.
Steps

Wash the poha in a colander and keep aside. Poha should be moist thoroughly.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and when they splutter add curry leaves.

Sauté for half a minute and add onions and green chillies and continue to sauté.

Add turmeric powder salt, red chilli powder, and mix. Sauté for two minutes and add potatoes
- 5
Add the soaked poha and peanuts and mix well.

Add sugar and garam masala and cook for 2 minutes.

Add lemon juice and mix lightly. Garnish with grated coconut, coriander leaves and serve hot.
