Ingredients

  1. 1/2 litremilk (luke warm)
  2. 500 gflour
  3. Pinchsalt
  4. 25 gactive yeast (2 tsp)
  5. 250 gsultana
  6. Optional - 2 tsp sugar
  7. Optional - 2 grated apples (granny smith)
  8. Optional - currents with sultana weigh
  9. Soya Bean oil to deep dry

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix yeast (and sugar*) in a mug with 1/4 cup milk (use part 1/2 litre)

  2. 2

    Put flour and salt in a bowl and make a well in the middle.

  3. 3

    Pour yeast mixture into flour and mix with the rest of milk to a smooth texture

  4. 4

    Add fruit

  5. 5

    Cover with towel and leave in hot water cupboard for 1 hour

  6. 6

    Heat oil and deep fry balls. (I use a spoon for scooping and another spoon to scrape ball into the oil.
