Ingredients

10 minutes
3 to 4 servings
  1. 800hilsha fish (ring pieces)
  2. 1 tspMustard paste ( black )
  3. 1 tspMustard paste (white)
  4. 1/2 cupMustard oil
  5. 8Green chillies
  6. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. 1/2tomato chopped
  9. 1/2 teaspoonroasted cumin
  10. to tasteSalt

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Marinate the fish pieces with salt turmeric and 1 teaspoon mustard oil.

  2. 2

    Heat a kadhai and add remaining mustard oil into it.

  3. 3

    When the oil become hot add 1/ 2 teaspoon Kala jeera or kolonji into it.

  4. 4

    Add tomatoes and salt

  5. 5

    When tomato become soft add add red chilli powder and turmeric powder.

  6. 6

    For preventing from burning add 2 teaspoon water into it.

  7. 7

    Arrange all the hilsha pieces in the kadhai.

  8. 8

    Mix the mustard paste with one cup water and pour over the fishes.

  9. 9

    Add splited green chillies ana 1/2 teaspoon raw mustard oil.

  10. 10

    Cover it with a lid.

  11. 11

    Cook it for 5 to 6 minutes.

  12. 12

    Served hot with boiled rice.
