Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix all the ingredients except the chocolate chips in a blender and blend until smooth. During blending, check and scrape the sides for any small pieces of chickpeas. Blend until there are no traces left.

Add the chocolate chips and stir. The mixture will become thick and sticky.

With wet hands, shape small balls. Place them on a baking sheet. If you want them to look more like cookies, press them down slightly. They won't rise much.

Bake for about 10 minutes. The balls will still be very soft when you take them out of the oven; they won't harden like cookies.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to a week.
