For stuffing: Heat the pan and add 1tsp ghee. Add coconut and sugar. Mix it well. Keep stirring and cooking till the mixture becomes dry. Turn off the flame and leave it to cool. Add cardamom powder and mix it well. Keep it aside.

For Modak: Take milk, water and sugar in a pan on low medium heat. Add a pinch of salt. When the mixture comes to a boil, add suji and keep stirring till it comes together like a dough. Remove it to a plate. Let it cool down slightly.

Make the dough into three equal parts or portions. Add green food colour to one part and orange food colour to another one. Mix it well. Let the third part/portion remain as it is.

Make two balls out of each part/portion of dough. Grease your palms. Take each ball on your palm and make it flat in such a way that the center will appear as a hole. Fill the hole with stuffing. Seal it and give the ball to a modak shape. Repeat the procedure for rest of the balls to get modaks.

Place the modaks in a microwavable dish and microwave for 2 minutes. Modak is ready for being served.
