Ingredients

  1. 10-12thinly sliced pineapple
  2. 1 cupmaida
  3. 2 tspcorn flour
  4. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  5. 1/2 cupwater
  6. 1 pinchyellow colour
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. as neededoil
  9. Ingredients for sugar syrup
  10. 1 cupsugar
  11. 1 cupwater
  12. 1/2 tsppineapple essence

  1. 1

    Mix maida, cornflour, baking powder, water and a pinch of salt together to make a smooth batter of flowing consistency. Add a few drops of yellow food colour and mix it well. Keep it aside. Prepare a syrup of one- thread consistency by boiling the water and sugar. Add pinespple essence to it. Now dip the sliced pineapples in the batter and deep fry in hot oil. Immerse the fried pineapples(jalebi) in the syrup for 10 minutes and serve then.
