Steps
- 1
In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, shortening oil, and water to knead a soft dough.
- 2
In a pan, cook the khoya and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Turn off the heat and mix in the dried fruits and cardamom powder. Let it cool.
- 3
Cook 1 cup of sugar and water for 5-7 minutes to make a syrup.
- 4
Roll out small circles from the dough.
- 5
Take one circle, place a little prepared khoya filling in the center, fold all four corners, and secure with a clove. Repeat to make all Laung Latikas.
- 6
Heat oil in a pan and fry the prepared Latikas on medium heat.
- 7
Dip the fried Laung Latikas in the syrup, garnish with dried fruits, and serve.
