Ingredients

40 minutes
12 servings
  1. 4medium potatoes boiled and peeled
  2. 1coarsely crushed Coriander Seeds
  3. 1/2 teaspoonRoasted Cumin Powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoongreen chillies, finely chopped
  5. 1/2 teaspoonginger, finely chopped
  6. 1 teaspoonchopped fresh mint leaves
  7. 1 tspchopped green spring onion greens (Optional)
  8. 2 tablespoonRice flour
  9. 2 tablespoonBreadcrumbs
  10. Salt 1/2 teaspoon or to taste
  11. 1 pinchchaat masala
  12. Oil 2 cups for deep frying or less for shallow-frying
  13. 1/2 cupFresh Mint Leaves for Garnishing

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Mash the boiled potatoes. Add Coriander seeds, Cumin powder, green chillies, ginger, mint, spring onions, rice flour and breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Add salt and chaat masala. Mix.

  3. 3

    Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into tikkis.

  4. 4

    You can have shape of your choice. Either Round or any.

  5. 5

    Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Shallow-fry (healthy Version)the tikkis until golden-brown and crisp on both sides Or you can deep fry also.

  6. 6

    Garnish with Mint Leaves.

    Serve with sauces of your choice. I love it with Dates Tamarind Chutney.
