Ingredients

  • 6 sliceswhite bread, cut into cubes
  • 11/2 tbspOil
  • 1 tspmustard seeds (rai / sarson)
  • 4Curry leaves
  • 1/2 cupchopped onions
  • Pinch Garam masala
  • 11/2 tspChopped green chillies
  • 3/4 cupChopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspLemon juice
  • To tastesalt to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds.

  2. 2

    When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds. Add the onions and green chillies and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add the turmeric powder and tomatoes and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes

  4. 4

    Add the bread pieces, salt and garam masala, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes,

  5. 5

    Switch off the flame, add the lemon juice and mix well and serve.
