Knead a soft dough using these ingredients with water. Keep it aside for some while.
You can also use wheat flour for the dough.. - 2
Grind green peas together with ginger and green chillies.

Heat oil in a pan. Crackle jeera and rai in oil. Add hing. Then add the peas paste. Add salt and turmeric powder. And cook the stuffing with a lid. Keep stirring occasionally. It will take around 10 minutes to cook on a low flame.
Add little garam masala and let the stuffing cool. - 4
Now, roll the dough into puris. Place the stuffing in the centre of them.

And give shape to your karanjis..
Deep fry them in oil at medium flame till golden brown - 6

Serve hot with mint chutney and date tamarind chutney
(You can also bake these gujiyas in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 22-25 minutes)
