Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsSprout Moth beans(Mataki)
  2. 3-4 tbspdesiccated coconut
  3. 1Big Potato
  4. 1Big Onion
  5. 5-6Curry leaves
  6. HandfulCoriander leaves
  7. 1 tsptempering Asafoetida, Mustard seeds, Cumin
  8. 3 tspoil
  9. As neededFarsana
  10. 1-2Lemon
  11. 1 tspSugar
  12. To tasteSalt
  13. 3-4 tspChilli powder
  14. SlicesBread
  15. 2 tspGaram masala

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pan heat oil and add asafoetida, Cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves. After that add chopped onion and chopped potatoes (make very thin slices). Fry it well till onion become brown. Now add sprout moth beans, Desiccated coconutand fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add sugar, salt, chilli powder. Add water and let them boil for around 10 minutes. Add garam masala and boil for 2-3 minutes more. Off the flame. Add coriander leaves.

    Serve with lemon, Farsana, chopped onion, coriander leaves & bread.
