Soak black urad dal for 1/2 hr. Drain it. Add dal,salt and water in pressure cooker. Pressure cook on high for 1 whistle and then simmer the flame and cook for 40-45 minutes. Switch off the flame. Let the steam go off.

Heat oil in kadai.add jeera,dry red chilli & let it splutter for a min. Add ginger garlic, onion, tomato. Fry for few min. Add salt,red chilli powder, dal makhni masala, coriander powder, garam Masala. Mix well.

Add boiled dal. Mix well.

Ready to serve hot chapti and nan.
