My mom's kitchen garden had yielded this big beautiful capsicums so I thought- why not cook my pilau with some. I tell you the results were amazing!

My mom's kitchen garden had yielded this big beautiful capsicums so I thought- why not cook my pilau with some. I tell you the results were amazing!

Add the oil to a sufuria wait till it's just warm then add the onion then cook till it's translucent

Next add the meat,garlic, ginger and salt- stir for like 5 minutes

Add Capsicums and let them cook for another 5 minutes stirring occasionally

Next add the Tomato paste,pilau masala,cumin seeds, BlackPepper and keep stirring for about a minute

Add one cup of water together with the rice and stir really well
- 6
Add the rest of the water,stir and cover your sufuria. Then cook on medium heat for about 8-10mins then adjust to low heat for the rest of the time till all the water is evaporated

Should look like this when it's ready. You can sprinkle some of the Capsicum on top.
