Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 7 ozgrated paneer (about 200 grams)
  • 1 teaspoonfinely chopped ginger
  • 2-3onions, finely chopped
  • 4tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 3green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoonscoriander-fennel powder
  • 1/2 teaspoongaram masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonchaat masala
  • 1 1/2 teaspoonsoil or ghee
  • 3 tablespoonsfresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoonKitchen King masala

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil or ghee in a skillet. Add cumin seeds, green chilies, and ginger, and sauté for 1 minute.

  2. 2

    Add the onions and sauté until they turn golden.

  3. 3

    Add all the spices except salt and garam masala, then add the chopped tomatoes. Cook until the oil separates.

  4. 4

    Add the grated paneer and mix well. Sauté for 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add salt, garam masala, and chopped cilantro. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Serve the hot paneer bhurji with roti, naan, or paratha.
